As some of you may already now, last week Markus Kinch has had a bump outlanding on an XC in windy conditions in Laragne and is in Gap Hospital. He is going to be OK but has broken a couple of ribs and a collarbone.
Markus has also had some concussion and loss of memory. He has been a bit confused about where he is and is still suffering from memory loss abut the incident however I understand the doctors are not unduly concerned and the prognosis is good. They are expecting to repatriate Markus soon.
Fortunately Nigel Bray Clive Belbin, and others are in the area and have done a brilliant job of sorting things out as have the insurance (plug for BHPA insurance and Yvonne Jukes who do a brilliant job).
Clive has already collected Markus's glider and packed up his car.
Unfortunately Markus still doesn't feel able to deal with people contacting him directly but I have  passed on the many Best Wishes to his wife Ros who will pass them to Markus.
It is possible that Markus will be repatriated early this week- currently we are waiting on the doctors decision.
