Aerotow
The main site used for aerotowing is Hucaby’s Field about a mile from Bilswroth near Northampton. Fora few weeks in summer, to rest the field, we also use a field at Braunston, north of Daventry. These sites are ideal for aerotowing with huge fields catering for any wind direction, and clear airspace around them. We share the site with the LPA ‘Mosquito and Doodlebug’ fliers which many members also have, and fly in light suumer evenings after the aerotow has ceased. The Aerotow Tug is then used for giving club members and friends and families ‘fun flights’
All pilots are welcome to come and watch or to fly at any time. We aerotow all flyable weekends throughout the spring, summer and autumn. Paul Richardson, 01933 380 969 leaves a message on his answering machine either Friday night/Saturday morning saying where we’ll be and what time to meet or you can phone me, Richard Greaves on 10525 221283 for further information.
